If you haven’t done already, check out today’s and tomorrows tips that have already posted on Acebets.com. I have also offered a Free Tip to all Ace Bets members. Here are two selections for Saturday’s NRL.

Australian NRL

Date: Saturday – 6am
Match: St George Illawarra Dragons v NZ Warriors
Bet: NZ Warriors 1-12
Odds: 4.33 Ladbrokes Coral, 4.10 888, 4.05 188Bet
Stake: 2 units

I really like the Warriors. They’re at full strength here with Luke and Harris back and that just makes them so much more dynamic and menacing. They weren’t at their best last week but it’s these two that get them round the park, with Blair coming back in at 13 too they just have so much strike and smarts in the pack against a Dragons side that has just lost its way. Teams have figured out the Dragons some what by now, they’re a big physical side that’s main creative plays are sending speedy backs crabbing across field until they find holes. The Roosters worked that out beautifully last week and at 4.33 the odds are more than good enough for me to side with the away side figuring that out here.

Date: Saturday – 10:35am
Match: Sydney Roosters v NQ Cowboys
Bet: Sydney Roosters 1-10
Odds: 3.6 Ladbrokes Coral, 3.50 Bet365
Stake: 2 units

It’s all looked like its coming together for the Roosters of late and boy did they look good last week especially Latrell and Tedesco but the Cowboys lose close games for fun (about 50% of their games this season) and when Lukle Keary hobbled off for the Roosters with his double digit tries and try assists it was always going to be a question of who they brought in for him. Cornish was the obvious choice, O’Sullivan was a potential debutant replacement but the Roosters opted for utility Ryan Matterson and that’s enough to keep me on the Roosters narrow win. Matterson has spent most of the season second row and its a big ask to replace Keary particularly Keary’s support play. The Roosters attack should slow down and be less clinical than previous weeks but their defense should remain miserly. Roosters to edge this one therefore looks decent value.
