Hi members. I was taking an early look at the weekend fixtures and found a bet I want to get on straight away. Good luck if you get on the advised bet.

Saturday
Match:Rotherham vs Ipswich
Bet: Over 2 Goal Line
Odds & Bookie: 1.7 with BetVictor
Stake: 1 Unit

Two sides that I expect to struggle this season. Ipswich have lost too many experienced players with Hurst preferring to bring in L1 players with a point to prove.

Saturday saw them start with a new RB at CB and then after an injury they brought on a 17 year old to play CB and moved the new CB to RB, who failed to impress in either role. The 17 year old CB then got injured.

It looks as if Ipswich may well sign up to another 6 players this week so I am expecting them to be even more disjointed on Saturday. However, they are expected to bring in attacking reinforcements so I can see them nicking a goal.

The whole performance on Saturday looked disjointed and on the whole a side that would struggle. They still managed to find the net twice and were fortunate not to concede more than the two they did. Their xGA was 1.88. I am not convinced they will keep a clean sheet and with limited time to work on the basics for this game I am expecting a similar type result.

Since December Ipswich have kept just 3 away clean sheets – Sunderland, Reading and Derby.

Rotherham lost 5-1 to Brentford and look like a side that might find life hard in the championship. After the game the manager said: “They gave me everything but collectively we weren’t good enough to cause them problems. They were outplayed for long spells they conceded an expected goals of 2.74.

Rotherham have scored in all but 1 home games since August last year, a run of 24 games. Over those 24 games only 4 have seen under 1.5 goals and have kept clean sheets in 8 of the 24 games.

I can see some goals here and I am happy that we de-risk the bet somewhat by getting a refund on just the 2 goals.
